As we approach what would have been Dian Fossey's 85th birthday we wanted to take the opportunity to reaffirm our gratitude to be able to partner with such a fantastic organisation. Dian Fossey, one of the legendary scientists of our time, continues to be an inspiration to followers of wildlife conservation across the globe through her legacy at the Karisoke research center in Rwanda.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Karisoke center and we at Gorilla Socks are doing our utmost to support their amazing work, providing daily protection for around 120 gorillas living in multiple groups in the mountains of Rwanda. With each pair of bamboo socks sold we will donate at least 10% of the proceeds to the Fossey Fund to support the gorilla conservation cause. With each pair of colorful bamboo socks you purchase, we will be able to support: the trackers who find and help to protect the gorillas, scientific research into the gorilla species and their habitat, educating the next generation of conservationalists both in Africa and abroad, and helping the local communities through conservation programmes in schools, improving access to clean water and healthcare and addressing food scarcity.
We are incredibly proud to partner with the Fossey Fund and would encourage all would be social entrepreneurs to find a cause they care about and do all they can to help.
Help us to support the Fossey Fund by upgrading your sock game. Visit our homepage for more information on the many benefits of bamboo socks.
