This fall, Dian Fossey’s remarkable life will be featured in a three-part documentary series from the National Geographic. The series will feature narration by Sigourney Weaver who played the part of Dian Fossey in the motion picture “Gorillas in the Mist”.
Thanks to Dian Fossey, for 50 years scientists have helped protect the endangered gorilla species through the Karisoke Research Center which she founded. The Dian Fossey Fund, apart from carrying out important gorilla protection and scientific research, is involved in helping communities build the next generation of conservationists in Africa.
The National Geographic's series will focus on Dian Fossey’s work, life, death and legacy including never seen footage. The series is being produced in partnership with Academy Award winning executive producer James March and will air globally in 171 countries and in 45 languages this fall.
