3 Reasons Why You Should Use Bamboo!

Why Bamboo?

So you are probably wondering why we use bamboo fiber instead of cotton to make our multi-colored socks at Gorilla Socks? Well...there are numerous reasons why we only use this unique fiber but we wanted to highlight three key benefits of bamboo as we head into summer.

Thermoregulating Bamboo Socks

Fact 1 - Thermoregulating

Nobody likes hot, sweaty feet in summer right?! Well, bamboo fiber is thermoregulating meaning our socks keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer so bear this in mind as you pace across the city this summer.

Anti Bacteria Bamboo Benefit

Fact 2 - Antibacterial

In the city temperatures are rising but no need to hide away those feet with our bamboo socks - bamboo fiber is antibacterial, anti-fungal and odor resistant so kick off those shoes and put your feet up!

Water Bamboo Benefit

Fact 3 - Needs Little Water to Grow

We all know water is a scarce resource and we need to conserve it. We chose to use bamboo as it requires less than 1/3 the amount of water required by cotton to grow and is the fastest growing plant in the world. Every little helps switch to bamboo socks rather than cotton and do your bit for water conservation.

There are several additional benefits of bamboo fiber so head to our homepage to check out the rest and take a look at our sock shop to view our entire collection of colorful socks, and remember, every pair you buy helps gorilla conservation through our partnership with The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International.

Happy Summer!
